Welcome to Washington D.C. School of Flower Design
Washington D.C. a great place on a great river with a great floral design school!
At the Washington D.C. School of Flower Design, founded by celebrity florist, Michael Gaffney, their students learn a large variety of different design techniques during their 1-week intensive course. This 6-day comprehensive flower design course covers everything from traditional to contemporary design styles and includes up to 4 projects per day. This course is fast-paced for students who do not have the time to dedicate weeks to learning the art of floral design. In one week, you’ll master over 25 styles of design. Get ready for a week of intensive learning. Many of our students from overseas like the idea of a fast full week of learning design! The Washington D.C. School of Flower Design’s former students are involved in all areas of floral design after graduating and the school’s methods of design take beginners to pro. Washington D.C. has no shortage of things to do and see while taking classes at the Washington D.C. School of Flower Design. Everything from arts & culture, to museums, national monuments, entertainment and night life, are all things that are also offered in this great city.
Located inside a Floral Wholesaler
The Washington D.C. School of Flower Design is located inside a floral wholesaler that provides thousands of gorgeous flower stems every semester for the students to design with. A gorgeous mix of fresh flower and green materials are provided to the students during each day’s class (all materials are included with the tuition cost), as well as live demonstrations, a tour of the wholesale house and how to buy wholesale, instructor assistance and best of all, hands on designing by the students themselves.
Led by Michael Gaffney
Michael Gaffney who has been featured on the The Morning Blend, Hallmark Channel, Today Show and Huffington Post states, “In my book Design Star, there are 100 tips to flower design, but in class there are 1000. Being in class and having that one-on-one access to an instructor is important to learning good design habits and techniques.”
